Wellbeing for Staff

Meet our Senior Mental Health Lead
Wellbeing is not an add-on but part of our culture, ensuring a safe, supportive environment where everyone can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
|
Meet our ELSA Lead Our school is proud to have an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) Lead, dedicated to supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing. The ELSA Lead works closely with staff and families to help children develop resilience, manage emotions, and build positive relationships, ensuring every pupil feels supported to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

🌿 Staff Wellbeing Station
Our Staff Marbles Jar
At Crowcroft Park, we celebrate teamwork, kindness and positivity through our Staff Marble Jar. Whenever someone goes the extra mile, supports a colleague or shows a positive attitude, we add a marble to the jar. Once it is full, the whole team enjoys a well-earned reward. It is a simple but meaningful way to recognise our shared achievements and remind us that small actions can make a big difference.
We are also filling our Wellbeing Marbles Jar, with each marble representing an act of kindness, a moment of positivity or a staff shout-out. Together, these jars highlight the care, appreciation and team spirit that make Crowcroft Park such a special place to work.

We were thrilled to share that our Staff Marble Jar had been filled! To celebrate this fantastic achievement, we created a Wellbeing Station for our staff. The room came to life with vibrant colours, fresh fruit, yoghurts, juices, granola, tea and other healthy treats. It was a joyful way to say thank you to our amazing team and to encourage everyone to pause, recharge and enjoy a well-deserved moment of self-care.

Once the jar is full the second time, we’ll celebrate with a Sound Bath session as a collective wellbeing reward.
💬 Recent Shout-Outs:

Menopause Support
🌿Supporting Staff During the Menopause
We are committed to supporting all colleagues through the menopause with understanding, respect, and openness.
Our Approach
-
Listen and Respond: We listen sympathetically to any requests for reasonable workplace adjustments and respond with care.
-
Be Aware: We recognise that the menopause can impact performance and wellbeing. If someone’s performance changes, we will consider whether the menopause may be a contributing factor.
-
Encourage Openness: We aim to create a safe, supportive environment where staff feel comfortable to speak honestly about how they are feeling.
-
Communicate with Care: Conversations about the menopause are treated sensitively and confidentially, with time allowed during the school day where possible.
-
Record and Follow Up: We keep a record of meetings, agreed adjustments, and actions to be taken, and arrange follow-up meetings to review progress.
-
Review Regularly: All agreed adjustments are communicated appropriately, implemented effectively, and reviewed on a regular basis.
