Online Safety

It is very important that everyone stays safe whilst online.

Over recent years, the use of technology in both school and the home has increased greatly. Whilst this has positive impacts on learning, there are risks associated with children using the internet more widely and for that reason we place great importance on the teaching of e-safety at school.

Children are taught about online safety weekly using Project Evolve, to learn more about this please click here.

Project Evolve

Whilst we do all that we can to ensure the safety of children on the internet, it's essential that parents and carers continue this at home. There are a number of links below to support with this.

Digital Ambassadors

Our school has a team of Digital Ambassadors who are all trained in Online Safety and how to support their peers. Our Digital Ambassadors are made up of children from Y4, Year 5 and Year 6.

The Digital Ambassadors meet with the children throughout the year and give them regular challenges and tasks to give them the knowledge and tools that they need to stay safe online.

Our Digital Ambassadors will lead assemblies throughout the school year to continue to promote staying safe online.

Finally, our Digital Ambassadors have created an online worry-box for our website, which can be used for out of school hours.  We check the worry boxes every day to see if any concerns have been put in and they will deal with them appropriately.

If you have a worry big or small you can send a message through the Worry Box. Your message will be sent to Mrs Francis who is here to help you if something is worrying you.  She will speak quietly to you and your teachers to make sure you feel happy again.
